The autograph line was taking longer than expected, so the costumed presenters for Saturday night had time to do last minute touched to their costumes. I'm here trying to thread a needle for Dian (One who can't find the EYE!!) Cheesy grins. This was a very fun time hanging out and goofing off... Suzanne and Carolyn as Arwen and Frodo.

Suzanne in her legendary Legolas costume, posing with the elvish Jarl Benzon. Here is Suzanne/Dolphina again. THis time with Ed and Nina in their costumes for the Saturday Night Awards presentation. Cliff "Quickbeam" Broadway from Torn, was again an incredible MC on Saturday night, wearing a fabulous coat that I may have complimented him on a bit too enthusiastically. *heh*

Actually, this photo was taken by me. I saw Steph going on stage, and since I didn't have a camera, I rumaged through her purse and stole hers. She forgives me. *heheh* That's Royd Tolkien on stage with her! After the awards those of us in costume went around and had photos with people in the audience, and some of the presenters. Here is Lady Dian, her daughter Veronica and Bruce Hopkins. The Japanese Hobbits were very famous around the con and I was lucky enough to get photos with them. They were so cute, and very sweet.

Though communication was mostly pointing and giggling about what poses they wanted. I'm glad I had Steph's camera nearby to capture them as well! After the show Carolyn and I had a date to pose for some Frodo/Galadriel by the Mirror moments. We took many shots to try to get it right. These are the ones from her camera.

Carolyn makes one of the best Frodo's I've ever seen... Maybe she'll let me sing to her some day. *heheh* Steph and Suzanne took some photos too. Here is one that Suzanne treated with some photoshop edits! Steph with Daniel. Next few photos taken by me with her camera again. I don't know who of the three of us was more excited to get this... me Steph or Daniel.

Stephanie with the amazing Aragorn look alike - our very own Kent Olifson- one of the Costume Track coordinators. Steph with Jorn Benzon. Jorn was the first 'elf' I ever showed my costume to. So this moment of showing him Steph's, partner in crime, was quite special to me. Here's our Elf Armor Forum where we discuss costumes. This was by far my favorite photo of the convention. It was pure euphoria to see Steph in her armor with the designer of the armor and 4 of the elves who wore it in the film.

btw, here's Jorn's Official forum

A delightful surprise from Jarl. I don't have brothers, but if I could pick anyone, Jorn and Jarl would be at the top of the list. As adorable as he is, it's no surprise that Jarl now has an official fansite and forum. Peter Tait played Shagrat: the large Uruk in the Mordor tower - fighting over Frodo's minthril vest. I really found a lot to talk about. He is a wonderful person and very interesting.... great voice too. I had been looking forward to meeting Royd, great grandson of JRR Tolkien, ever since I learned he existed. (no joke) and Peter graciously introduced us. Unfortunately I was at a loss for words in the moment...

One can't help but feel vogue around Sandro Kopp. Not only is he an extra in multiple films, he's also an incredible and accomplished artist: check out his website, Official Fan Site, and Forum I tried to explain to Sandro how he reminded me of Jeff Goldblum, but he didn't seem to find that a great compliment. Go figure. I still contend there is a resemblance, but only in the power and drama one feels from them. I've always had a crush on Jeff, so it's a compliment to me anyways.

Ben and Steph at the end of the night. You'd never guess from the look on their faces who had been stuck in armor for 3 1/2 hours by this time!
Ben is an administrator at
Craig Parker's Fan Forum.
I was thrilled when I learned Colleen Doran was going to be at the convention! Not just to see more of her work, but to actually meet her. She's even more beautiful in person than in photos. And her work is sooo moving.
Steph and I spent the last of our play money buying prints... and we wanted more!
I had been trying to introduce these two ALL WEEKEND. But they kept missing each other. Finally on Saturday night they got together.

Lady Dian and Destroyer of Nations from various ezboard communities, including MINE.

And here is the gang of us. Behind Ben and Dian up there is Joel - a techy from the Scholar track. In this photo I am singing his praises and thanking him for saving us in the costuming track by allowing us to use his laptop for our presentations and giving us support when we couldn't figure out how to make it work. This is Emerald Rose setting up their equipment. They performed after the costumed folks and before karaoke.

I just LOVE their music.
