In the costuming track room, Kent Elofson had brought in manniquins for some of
the panelists to display their work. Here are a few images from that room and display.

My husband's Eomer armor
Kev couldn't come to wear this costume I made for him, but he was there in spirit... Believe it or not, dressing that thing was quite a bit more difficult than dressing a living person!
My Eowyn inspired shield maiden.

Quite a bit skinnier than me... but it worked for it's purpose

Carolyn's Frodo Orc Costume
This costume is fantastic. She boiled the leather herself and used PAPER MACHE for the helmet! Check out the Costume Panel report for photos and links on how she did it.

Dian and Daniel again. Daniel generously spent so much time with us talking about our costumes - erm, our copies of HIS costumes. Carolyn with Daniel in front of her Frodo Orc Armor.

*fangirl squeal*

I love this guy. Such a genuine gentleman. It's quite something to find out that the designs that have inspired so many hours of labor and a transformation of my life over the past few years were created by someone so worthy of admiration - not just for his talent, but his character and kind heart as well.

(yeah, I'm a suck up, sue me... but I am being totally honest here! Just ask anyone who met him.)

Here is Daniel with Stephanie.

(ask Steph, she'll back me up!)

Steph says, "Ditto!"

The Eye of Sauron hung out in the costuming room for a bit. This is Jules in her amazing costume she actually WOVE by HAND!! I was blown away by it... I wish I had that patience. Ed with Daniel in front of his display
In this photo, it's not hard to picture Ed wearing his costumes. *L* ;o) love ya Ed!

Another funny note to mention is that while we costumers doted on Daniel as soon as we got his attention on Friday - Torn had placed the Sideshow booth right next to our room! *muahahahahaha* - for the most part he was left to enjoy the convention virtually unnoticed. That is until after his major panel on Ents in the main hall on Sunday, when the rest of the convention recognized him from the appendices - then the lines to talk to MR. FALCONER, show him portfolios, give him gifts and get his signituare seemed to be wrapping around the hall!!
