Here you can see the brass paper fasteners used on the end shield of the pauldron.
The tape helps to secure the folded pieces stay in place during the creation of the edging.

The edging is fitted precisely around the piece and held in place with masking tape
again, to make sure it all stays in place until it is glued securely together.

The brown material seen here has been affixed with Heat N' Bond. Each piece is individually put together and then connected with paper fasteners.	The top straps are sewn on by hand and the side straps are pierced by the fasteners between the pauldron pieces which are then glued together.

Note: Heat N'Bond is very forgiving. If you glue a piece together wrong, simply reheat, pull it apart and reiron.
You can do this about 5 times before you need to start over. (yeah, I screwed up that many times at one point)
