Episode II Obi-wan


The first costume was muslin and okay for a halloween party, but in the long run, I scrapped it. The fabric was much too light to hold up to Jedi wear.	The new material has a look of texture like the actual fabric, but the feel is like velvet. I got it at the discount table of drapery fabrics. I have never seen it again.	This is the actual fabric scanned from a good close up in a magazine. It's some sort of cotten crepe linen. I found black similar to it for Anakin's.

The shape is one that I sort of made up as I went along, because of the odd pieces of fabric I bought. It also requires a few safety pins to keep closed.	t would not do well to teach others to do it the way I did this one, I suggest checking out my Anakin tunic page - when it's up.	I made a shirt that didn't need much fuss. Obi-wan's Jedi Academy has many patterns to look at as well.
